BREAKOUT was an innovative learning initiative aimed at addressing problems in offending and drug-related offending. It helps ‘at risk’ groups and offenders, particularly young offenders and offending drug users, to ‘break out’ of a vicious circle of bad experiences and low expectations of education, and hence limited life chance opportunities. Part of the BREAKOUT project involved using Web 2.0 in a North London school to get students to explore the consequences of crime and drugs. This was done by combining ICT workshops (in the school computer lab) with drama workshops.   BREAKOUT used blogs, podcasting and forum functionality on the project website.

[Pinocchio 2.0 is a Multimedia Content Management housing and displaying of records from the Italian educational projects inspired by ER, and stores material from several subjects (language and literature, language’s analysis, artistic education). These records pertain to fables, narrations, stories, robotics projects, robotics kits design, handbooks, and many of the educational activities envisaging in some way the role of reproducible elements, and little interactive artifacts: the idea of the robot.]

Students teach teachers – the ICT4U-project

Hi,

My ICT4U-project is about implementing useful web 2.0 apps and IT-tools into the classroom, using the the students knowledge they already have  about some of these tool. It is an eTwinning- and Comenius-project (funded) and during projectmeetings students will present the tools in front of a teachers-audience of the hostschool (december 2010: Akureyri, Iceland / May 2011: Madrid, Spain). The students also create educational cards (summary, registration, manual & educational use) for each tool. More information on http://ict4u-project.eu
